Jemez Mountains Hiking Tour
The Jemez Mountains are the jewel of New Mexico, with tunnels, waterfalls, Indian ruins and fantastic views - they are a photographers dream. You will see Valle Caldera, one of the largest super volcano caldera’s in the U.S. and home to one of the largest elk herds in the state. Visit Jemez Monument, ruins of the 500 year old pueblo village of Giusewa. We will also pass through Los Alamos, the birthplace of our nation’s nuclear program. Then we get to hike a portion of Bandelier National park and see the original home of the ancient pueblo Indians including cave dwellings and petroglyphs. This is a beautiful, unforgettable tour.
