Unlimited Biking: Brooklyn Bridge Bike Tour
Over one hundred and twenty thousand vehicles, four thousand pedestrians, and three thousand bicycles cross the Brooklyn Bridge every day and New York City is one of the most bicycle friendly cities in the United States. The bridge connects Manhattan to Brooklyn and is over one hundred and twenty five years old.
This iconic structure is a must see for any native or visitor to NYC and Brooklyn Bridge Sightseeing has the best ways to do so. The bridges’ legendary promenade stretches between and above the traffic lanes, often amidst the beautiful lines of the suspension cables creating a spider’s web of support for the bridge itself. After the 15 minute climb, the viewer from the center of the bridge is breath taking. At 160 feet above the water, you will appreciate the many frame worthy photos you can take as the view includes New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the port of Brooklyn as well as part of the New Jersey shore.
Following this, you will descend into Brooklyn itself where you’ll be able to stroll among the historic houses of Brooklyn Heights and view the NYC Financial District from across the water. Finally, you’ll take the return trip back across the bridge to the South Street Seaport.
